BETHLEHEM — Peachtree Ridge’s fastpitch softball team defeated Bethlehem Christian 11-3 Thursday, giving new head coach Hayden Hollingsworth his first career win.

Hollingsworth was hired earlier this year after serving as an assistant coach last season for Brookwood’s third-place team in Class AAAAAAA.

Mariella Morales pitched five innings for the victory, striking out four and allowing no earned runs. She also went 3-for-4 with three runs, an RBI and three stolen bases.

Peachtree Ridge’s other leading hitters were Nora Badinger (2-for-3, two runs), Milan LaGrone (2-for-4, run), A.J. Muhammad (2-for-4, RBI) and Sami Zimmerman (two RBIs).
